Allie Sinclair: Head Trainer and Riding Instructor
Allie Sinclair has joined Five Springs Farm to start a full service equine program.
Allie has been riding horses since she was in the womb. Her mother rode throughout her entire pregnancy with her and was born just two days after a ride on her horse Dan. I guess you can say horses are in her blood.
Allie started her riding career when she was five in Syracuse, New York on a cute little pony named Nugget. From the moment Allie sat on Nugget’s back she was in love and there was nothing that you could do to get her out of the saddle. From there she had the opportunity to ride with several trainers and learned many styles of riding. From Dressage to Eventing, Allie has had the chance to do it all.
When it came time to graduate high school and Allie had to decide what to do with her life, she chose to attend Meredith Manor International Equestrian Centre where her classes were Barn Class, Jumping, Dressage, Training and Teaching. There she was able to submerge herself completely in horses from sun up to sun down. Meredith Manor helped build on her foundation of riding and taught her to be a better trainer and riding instructor.
Once finished at Meredith Manor Allie went onto teaching riding lessons at a small private farm in Leesburg, Virginia. After a few years of teaching riding lessons Allie wanted to do so much more. She obtained a position at Pizazz Farm as an assistant trainer working with babies and bringing them along in the Event world. Training side by side with Marissa Baderschnieder with weekly lessons with Event Rider Sharon White.
Allie moved to the Prince Edward County area in 2011 to start a new chapter in her life with her new family. There she found a local rescue in search of a trainer. Since then she has been the Volunteer Horse Trainer at the White Bird Appaloosa Horse Rescue located in Burkeville, Va. There she has successfully retrained several of their horses that have been successfully adopted out.
Allie joined Five Springs Farm in January of 2013 to start her own full service facility. Working along side with Debbie and her husband Mike to help build a unique one of a kind program that has been missing to the area for some time.
A special thanks goes out to Allie’s mom who jump-started her love and passion for horses. Another special thanks goes out to Allie’s husband, Travis, who has been a huge support in Allie’s adventure into starting this program.
You can spot Allie at the barn or at the rescue any time with her son Anthony who she hopes to inspire one day to ride horses as well.
